Iftar Dinner with Eastern Shore Chapel Community
Rumi Community had a warm welcome on 26 May at the Eastern Shore Chapel. Around 80 people from both sides enjoyed a friendly dinner while learning about each other. Rev. Cameron, Priest-in-Charge of the Chapel took guests around and briefed them about the Episcopal denomination at the church sanctuary.
A call for prayer recited after guests watched a video about Ramadan. Everyone enjoyed a delicious Turkish food along with a friendly exchange. The event was livened up with a beautiful accordion performance by Don. The feast was finalized with a beautiful Quran recitation.
Everyone looked happy and it seems this event will be followed by many other ones in the near future. Rumi Friendship Association and its community are thankful to Eastern Shore Chapel and its friendly & lovely people for their great hospitality.
